Westwood Tennis players compete at A&M consolidated high school

WESTWOOD, April 26, 2017--Several Westwood tennis players advance to regionals last week and competed in College Station at A&M consolidated High school. Some tennis players expressed excitement about their achievements.

“This season was pretty good,” said sophomore D’Michael Bellfield. “I didn’t expect that we would go this far, but we ended up going to regionals and did pretty good.”

Tennis Coach Danna Wade also expressed gratitude for her tennis players.

“The boys’ doubles teams did very well,” said Wade. “They didn’t win, but they were very competitive and stayed in the game the whole way through. I see a lot in their future.”

Senior Michael Vickery, who has played tennis since his freshman year, expressed passion towards tennis and hopes to play in college.

“This is my first time going to Regionals," said Vickery. “I would love to play in college, I have a love for the sport.”
