TYLER, July 11, 2014— The UT Tyler softball team presented a $700 donation to the Blood and Cancer Center of East Texas on Thursday, joining with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to help StrikeOut Cancer.
Dr. Gary and Lisa Gross of the Blood and Cancer Center of East Texas helped make donations possible with their generous seed-money donation.
The Gross' and The Blood and Cancer Center of East Texas help families who are battling cancer with things such as helping to pay for gas money, and other costs that come with the fight against the disease.
The NFCA helps StrikeOut Cancer with over $100,000 of donations every year, with teams around the nation raising money with special events.
