Palestine track area qualifiers travel for next meet

PALESTINE, April 14, 2017--The Wildcats competed very well in the 18-4A District Track meet Wednesday and Thursday. 

The Wildcat Track team was very goal oriented this year.

“I am very proud of our Track team because they meet their goals this season,” said Darold Turner. 

The Wildcats had a peek performance Wednesday and Thursday. The Wildcats were able to perform their personal best in their events. 

The Junior Varsity scored 250 points to become 2017 18-4A District Champions. 

The Varsity scored 201 points to become 2017 18-4A District Champions. 

“We are proud and excited for these young men that is part of our track program,” Turner said. 

The outstanding Junior Varsity performer was Roderick Deyon with two gold medals.

“I would like to recognize the entire Junior Varsity who scored over 200 point in three track meet this season,” Turner commented.  

The Varsity outstanding performers were Quinton Cook with two silver medals and Michael Guzman with three silver medals. The entire Varsity team perform very well the entire season. 

The Track team had several trackster that qualified to the area meet. The area qualifiers will travel to Lorena next Wednesday to compete in the area meet.
