Palestine ISD Boy's Cross Country team earns second win a row at the SFA Cross Country Meet

PALESTINE, SEPTEMBER 8, 2017--Congratulations to the Boy's Wildcat Cross Country Teams for their 2nd win a row at the SFA Cross Country Meet over the weekend.

They competed against big schools like Robert E. Lee, Lufkin, Nacoghdoches and barely defeated one of the best 5A schools out of Louisiana named Parkway High School.

There were 160 runners in the race on Saturday and our top varsity finisher, with a 6th place finish, was Freshmen Luis Rangel. Next for varsity was SO Michael Guzman (11th place), JR Daniel Sanchez (12th place), SO Cristian Guzman (16th place), FR Garrett Bowden (18th place), SR Francis Sis (25th place) and JR Cristian Castillo (70th place).
The JV squad won by over 20 points with Freshmen Michael Chaidez leading the way with a 4th place finish.
Good Luck next Saturday to the Varsity boys as they travel to Sam Houston State University for the Region 3 Preview meet to compete against some of the top teams in the region. The JV and JH runners will be competing in Grapeland at Salmon Lake.
