Palestine Angler Wataru Iwahori to compete in FLW Forrest Wood Cup

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, LA., July 17, 2013--Palestine angler Wataru Iwahori is one of six Texas-based anglers in a field of 92 anglers who will compete, Aug. 15-18, in the 2013 FLW Forrest Wood Cup in Shreveport-Bossier.

Iwahori will fish in the co-angler category of the tournament, which carries a top prize of $50,000. Other Texas-based anglers who will compete in the co-angler category include Keith Honeycutt, of Temple, Kenny Moser, of Alba, and Jeff Sprague, of Point. Texas-based pros who will compete in the professional category are Zell Rowland, of Montgomery, and Christopher Brasher, of Hallsville. The pro category carries a top prize of $500,000, one of the largest prizes in pro bass fishing. 

In addition to daily launches at Red River South Marina and weigh-ins at CenturyLink Center, FLW Outdoors’ most prestigious bass fishing tournament of the year will include the FLW Expo at Shreveport Convention Center.
