GRAPELAND, May 22, 2014— Grapeland Softball Team is just one win away from a trip to the State Softball Tournament. However, to get there, they will have to beat Harlton. The Sandiettes will take on the Ladycats on Friday, in Lindale, at 6:30 p.m., in a one-game series.
Grapeland Head Softball Coach Jim Dillard says he believes his team has what it takes to get the job done.
“The main thing for the girls, I believe, is just their attitude. They’ve just bought into the program and the ideas that we have,” said Coach Dillard. “They’re fighters. They scrap, and they just find a way to win.”
Admission to the game is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Harlton will be the home team, and Grapeland will be the visiting team.
