Fourth annual Father, Son Fishing Tournament slated for Nov. 16

TYLER, November 1, 2013— The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department has planned a morning of fun at the Father and Son Fishing Tournament scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Woldert Park. The park is located next to the Glass Recreation Center at 501 W. 32nd St.

The tournament is open to children ages 5-15. The tournament starts at 8 a.m. and weigh in begins at noon.

The Texas Wildlife and Fisheries Department will conduct a fishing clinic before the tournament begins.  Also, David Wilson, a pro bass fisherman will be available to answer questions during the tournament.

Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the heaviest and longest fish caught.  Also, overall prizes will be given for the first fish caught and the most fish caught.

Pre-registration is not required, but is encouraged for this event.  Anglers need to bring their own pole and bait.
