Dukes sits in fourth, men take over first place

TYLER, May 16, 2013-- The UT Tyler men's golf team continued to move up the leaderboard on day two of the 2013 NCAA National Championship, finishing the day in first place with more teams still to finish.  Senior John Dukes finished day two with a 70, putting him in fourth place individually.

Dukes leads a deep squad who currently have four out of five players in the top 34, including Joey Rippel who sits in eighth place after firing a 73 on day two.

Buddy Hallman is currently in a tie for 16th after shooting a 70 yesterday, while Trent Boudoin finished the day with a 73, good enough for a 34th-place tie.

The Patriots look to continue their historic play today, with the national championship tournament concluding on Friday.
