Cayuga Head Football Coach speaks on 2014-2015 season

PALESTINE, August 6, 2014—The Cayuga Wildcats are gearing up for the new season, after earning some well deserved pre-season respect by being the highest pick in Anderson County, and second only to Alto in the district by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football annual magazine.

“We’re excited about our chances this year,” said Head Coach Russell Holden. “The kids are a year older, they have more experience, so we have high expectations. “

With the majority of the offense returning, Coach Holden counts on the experience to move the program forward.

“The success we had last year, kind of unexpectedly, put a little bit of a target on our back this year, so the kids have to step up and keep learning and keep working hard,” Holden said.

KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Coach Holden about new realignment, the upcoming season, Meet the Wildcats which will be held on Aug. 21, at 7:00 p.m., and what will be the key to this season’s success. Click below to listen.
