Westwood ISD Board approves technology package

WESTWOOD, May 15, 2014— The Westwood ISD School Board has approved a new technology package for the elementary and primary campuses, according to Westwood Superintendent Dr. Ed Lyman.

The technology package, which comes at a cost of $163,000 will provide approximately 5 new iPads for each classroom, as well as an additional 2 iPad “carts” which will contain 22-25 iPads and will be used for special lessons.

The funds will come out of the school’s fund balance from money which was set aside and designated for technology several years ago.

KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Dr. Lyman about the new package and why it is so important for the students. Click below for more.
