PALESTINE, August 19, 2014— The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has launched a Veterans Health Administration website which offers a comprehensive resource to Veterans and their families.
The website has answers to a variety of health and services related topics in a user-friendly manner. According to VA Staff Writer Hans Petersen, “It’s designed to help you quickly find specific information and is structured so that synonyms, acronyms and cross-referencing provide multiple ways for Veterans to access the topics and features on Veterans Health websites.”
The site contains a Health Topics A-Z index page which includes areas of most importance to Veterans, their families and caregivers. Examples of topics include: Eye care and Eye Glasses; Health Care Benefits, Center for Women Veterans, Assisted Living Dental Care Benefits, Seeing Eye Dogs, Compensated Work Therapy, and more. Users may also browse the Health Benefits Reference Library or click on a preset link to navigate the site.
The site can be accessed by visiting http://www.va.gov/health/newsfeatures/2014/August/Veterans-Have-A-Health-Question-Search-Here.asp.
