RUSK, June 18, 2014—UPDATE: According to an Oncor representative, power has been restored to all customers in Cherokee County, at this time.
Approximately 1,000 customers were without power this morning, after an electrical accident occurred. An Oncor employee was flown to a hospital in Tyler due to injuries sustained in the accident. There has been no word on the condition of the employee.

RUSK, June 18, 2014— An Oncor employee has been flown to a Tyler hospital after an electrical accident this morning which has left much of the city of Rusk without power.
It is unclear at this time how the accident occurred.
According to Brenda Walker with Oncor Public Relations, the company is working hard to restore power to the city.
