Update: Arrest made in Anderson Co. animal cruelty case

ANDERSON CO., March 6, 2014— UPDATE: An arrest has been made in connection with an animal cruelty case in which nine animals were seized from a property on ACR 415, on Monday.

According to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor, Terry Glenn Tawater was taken into custody shortly before noon, today. Tawater was charged with Cruelty to Animals, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The investigation into this case continues and Sheriff Taylor says additional suspects may be involved and additional charges may be filed pending outcome of the investigation.

ANDERSON COUNTY, March 5, 2014–– Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor says that nine animals were seized Monday on ACR 415 and more animals remain on the property.

"We received a complaint about animal cruelty and got a search warrant" Taylor said. The Sheriff's Office "is looking to file charges on the owners of the property."
