Tyler police arrest two suspects for Tipperary auto burglary

TYLER, January 14, 2013—This morning, around 3:10 a.m., Tyler Police responded 9402 Tipperary, in Tyler, on report of an auto burglary.

Upon arrival, Tyler Police officers learned from the resident that the victim had a car parked in the driveway whice was burglarized.  A garage door opener from the burglarized car was used to open the victim’s garage where another vehicle was located.  The suspects burglarized the second vehicle as well, and left the scene.

Officers with the Tyler Police Department stopped a black Chevy Tahoe leaving the area. Two occupants were in the vehicle. Officers discovered property from the victim on Tipperary in the vehicle along with several other stolen items of property..

Jonathan Burkett, a 23 year-old from Tyler, and Jeremy Junkins, a 20 year-old from Whitehouse, were arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on one charge of Burglary of a Habitation and two charges of Auto Burglary.
