TYLER, April 30, 2014— To coincide with the National Day of Prayer, Mayor Barbara Bass calls the Tyler community and surrounding area citizens to come together and pray for the Tyler community, the county and the nation. Prayer warriors will offer up specific prayers for “Hope and Encouragement, Healing and Courage.” A corporate prayer time will include praying for the family unit, the local, county, state and federal government, the U.S. Military personnel and their families and other needs that concern our community.
Special music and corporate worship time will be provided. Friendly Baptist Church, West Erwin Church of Christ and other volunteers will be providing a hot breakfast for all attendees.
Please join the Mayor for one hour of worship and prayer. This year’s theme is “One Voice United in Prayer-So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:6.”
Free Admission and a free will offering will be taken. Doors open at 6:30 a.m., and the program is from 7 to 8 a.m.
