Tyler investigators arrest suspect who is connected to recent shootings

TYLER, July 26, 2017 -- On July 25, 2017, Tyler investigators arrested Kadareawn Lee Mosley, B/M, born 10/03/1997, of Tyler who was responsible for two recent shootings. 

On Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 a.m., Mosley (a victim) was involved in a narcotics deal at Fun Forest Park where multiple shots were fired between subjects. Tyler police located one of the suspects involved in the shooting a short time later and placed him under arrest. TPD Press Release #-17-07-100. 

On Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 3:04 a.m., Tyler Police investigated a shooting at 3954 Mc Donald Road. The suspect fired 5 rounds through a window of the residence where a 13 year-old boy was struck by gun fire. Investigators were able to determine that Mosley was the shooter and was acting in retaliation for the shooting at Fun Forest. TPD Press Release # 17-07-108.

On Friday, July 21, 2017 at 12:29 a.m., Mosley was also responsible for shooting the victim in the back on Nutbush Avenue over money and narcotics. TPD Press Release #17-07-109. 

On Monday, July 25, 2017 Investigators obtained two arrest warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2nd degree felony) bond was set at $500,000 for both cases by Judge Kennedy. U.S. Marshal Task Force located Mosley today at his residence and placed him under arrest and booked him into Smith County Jail.
