Tyler Fire Department responds to two-alarm fire on Brittain Ave.

TYLER, May 7, 2013— The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire last night at 1026 Brittain Avenue.  The initial call was received at 7:58 p.m., and the caller reported the house was on fire. 

First arriving unit found a fully involved structure and called for a second alarm.  Nine engines and one Ladder Company, along with a District Chief and an Investigator, responded to the scene.

Occupants were at home at the time of the fire, but escaped uninjured.  The structure is considered a total loss.  Fire personnel are still on scene as of 10:00 a.m.,  and the cause is still under investigation.
