Tyler Chamber to present 'Driving Workforce Change' Business Workshop

TYLER, October 12, 2013—The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, along with various community partners will present a workshop for East Texas employers dealing with important employment-related issues and recent legislation.

The “Driving Workforce Change” Business Workshop will be held on Nov. 6, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at the Tyler Rose Garden.

Presentation topics will include:

  • Rock, Paper, Scissors: Choose Your Healthcare Play – Wally Gamaa (Holmes Murphy)
  • Recruitment 101 – Kim Stacy (Workforce Solutions of East Texas)
  • Avoiding Employee Claims – Rosemary Jones (Ramey & Flock, P.C.)
  • Understanding ObamaCare – Misty Baker (Independent Insurance Agents of Texas)
  • Social Media: Opportunity or Threat? – Mark Seguin (TBG Solutions, Inc.)
  • Developing Your Leadership Bench Strength – Dave Anderson (Express Leadership University)
  • Becoming an Employer of Choice – Employer Panel

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The Registration fee for Chamber Members is $70.00, until Oct. 26. The Registration fee for Non-Chamber Members is $75.00 until Nov. 5. This fee includes lunch and a copy of “Especially for Texas Employers.” Registration for groups of 5 or more are $65.00 each. Late registration, after the registration deadlines above, will be $90.00.
