TxDOT to begin work on Link St. July 8

ANDERSON CO., July 2, 2013--Beginning Monday, July 8, Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews are scheduled to begin resurfacing operations on FM 3309 (Link Street) between North Loop 256 and FM 315. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

Other area work planned for this week:

HENDERSON – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to resume pavement-repair operations on US 79 between the Star and FM 225. The crew is scheduled to work through Wednesday this week, then resume work on Monday, July 8. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible, and be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

LONGVIEW – Contract crews on Monday and Tuesday are scheduled to stripe recently repaired areas of WSW Loop 281. There will be no lane closures associated with the work as striping operations are conducted by slow-moving convoy. Elsewhere in Wood County, TxDOT maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on FM 2422, between US 80 east of Mineola, and FM 1804 (Hoard Road), and ditch work on SH 154 east of Quitman. VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Contract crews on Monday and Tuesday are scheduled to stripe recently repaired areas of SH 64 in and around the interchange with Interstate 20.
