Two Grapeland men arrested following suspicious vehicle call

ANDERSON CO., June 13, 2014—Two Grapeland men were taken into custody after Anderson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a neighbor regarding a suspicious vehicle, according to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor.

The neighbor had been asked to watch the residence on Anderson County Road 181, by the family of the owner after owner passed away. The neighbor reported the suspicious vehicle on June 10, around 6:30 a.m.

Sheriff’s Deputy W. Dean responded and two individuals were taken into custody. Tyler Hanson, age 21, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance after a small amount of methamphetamine was found to be in his possession. Jared Hanson, age 19, was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

According to Sheriff Taylor, possible burglary or theft charges are still pending.
