Traffic stop reveals PCP, one arrested

ANDERSON CO., October 2, 2013--On Tuesday, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Herman Linam made a traffic stop after he observed a blue, 2000 Ford Explorer driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

When Deputy Linam made the stop, the driver, 55 year-old Jose Garcia Flores, of Palestine, was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

According to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor, during the arrest, Flores was found to be in possession of a bottle filled with brown liquid which field-tested positive for PCP. Flores was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, penalty group 1 -4-200 grams.

Flores was also fined $200.00 for the traffic offense.

He is being held in the Anderson County Jail on $20,750.00 in bonds, and the $200 .00 fine.
