TPD seeking suspect in aggravated robbery of individual at The Reserves

TYLER, December 17, 2013— On December 17, at 1:21 a.m., Tyler Police Officers were dispatched to The Reserves apartment complex located at 2851 CR 272, in reference to an aggravated robbery of an individual. 

Once on scene, officers learned that a black male was robbed of his vehicle at gun-point at the front gate of the complex. The 19 year-old victim stated he was followed by at least two other black males driving a white Chevy Impala. When he arrived at the front gate to the apartment complex, the driver of the Impala approached his vehicle, displaying a handgun and demanding him to exit his burgundy 1995 Buick Roadmaster. The suspect then got into the driver’s seat of the victim’s car and left the area with the Chevy Impala following.

The suspect in this case is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, 6’ 03, 240-250 lbs. with a dark complexion, wearing a gray thermal shirt and gray sweat pants.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 or Tyler/Smith County Crime Stoppers at 903-597-CUFF.   Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any other felony case.
