Todd Staples speaks on decision to run for Lt. Governor

PALESTINE, July 15, 2013--Palestine native, Texas State Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples has recently announced plans to run for Lt. Governor. According to Staples, much rides on the next election.

“This election is really not just about the next election, it’s about the next generation,” says Staples.

Staples believes his record makes him the most qualified candidate for the job, but welcomes the competition of anyone who wishes to run. “I think elections are about choices,” he said. “I’m going to be highlighting the work that I’ve done, and why I think I’m the best, and the strongest, and the most vibrant leader to step forward as Lt. Governor.”
