TYLER, March 25, 2014— At approximately 9:50 Monday evening, The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a shooting in the 23000 block of Dogwood Trail, located in the Enchanted Lakes subdivision in Northwestern Smith County.
Arriving on the scene, deputies discovered three individuals who had received injuries from a shotgun blast which was fired by Jerry Gene Allen, age 56, who lives at a residence on Dogwood Trail.

EMS responded and treated those who were hit. Two of the victims were transported to a Tyler area hospital.
Allen was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
