The Teddy Bear's Train Ride set for Friday, August 1

PALESTINE, July 20, 2014— Boomer Beary is inviting all children to join him at The Texas State Railroad for The Teddy Bear’s Train Ride on Friday, August 1.

This teddy bear-themed train will depart from the Rusk Depot at 11am and 2:30pm.

All children ages 12 and under who bring their teddy bear with them will get to ride for free.

There will be activities before departure and special snacks on board the train, plus children will get a chance to meet 10-year-old Boomer and his parents, Spike and Glimmer, who both work for The Texas State Railroad. Spike is a conductor and Glimmer is an engineer.

In addition, for the second year in a row, Boomer is asking for donations of new teddy bears and new baby blankets. These items will be donated to The Blankets and Bears Children’s Fund in Anderson County. They will be distributed to police officers and hospital emergency room workers to give to traumatized children.

Seating is limited and tickets are going fast! For reservations call 903-683-3098 or book online at https://www.texasstaterr.com/events.php.
