LUFKIN, May 25, 2014— Looking for something fun to do this summer? The Texas Forestry Museum’s EEK! Week summer camp is coming up soon and still has spots to fill.
EEK! Week is June 2, June 3, June 5, and June 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for children entering the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades in the upcoming fall. The camp focuses on taking the kids to different sites in East Texas where they can learn different things about nature and the environment around them. This year participants will be traveling to the Boykin Springs, the Caddo Mounds, the SFA planetarium, and more.
The fee for the camp is $70 for the museum’s kids’ club members and $75 for non-kids’ club members.
The Texas Forestry Museum, a private non-profit organization, is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr., in Lufkin. The Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except major holidays.
