Texas A&M Forest Service urges fire safety over Labor Day weekend

PALESTINE, August 28, 2013--With the approach of Labor Day Weekend, area residents are reminded to use caution while celebrating. Recent dry conditions, high temperatures, and low humidity have resulted in an extremely high fire danger.

With almost all surrounding counties currently under a burn ban, residents are reminded to follow the law and practice safety measures to reduce the risk of fire.

KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Alan Fox, with Law Enforcement of Texas A&M Forest Service, about current burn bans, the upcoming holiday, and fire safety and precautions. Click below for more.
