PALESTINE, January 14, 2013-- The City of Palestine Public Works department has announced a temporary sidewalk and parking space closure in downtown Palestine for roof rehabilitation of the structure at 213 W. Main, and its secondary entrance at 214 W. Oak. Work is expected to take approximately 4 days to complete and will begin on Wed., Jan. 15, 2014.
During this time, sidewalks and the parking areas immediately in front of these locations will have equipment parked to offload construction refuse and to bring in new materials. The sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians to ensure safety in the construction area. The street will remain open to thru-traffic.
Work is not expected to affect adjacent businesses, and the impact will be as limited as possible.
