Still time to purchase tickets for Shrek the Musical

PALESTINE, July 28, 2014—A great turn-out was seen for opening weekend of Shrek the Musical, put on by Palestine Community Theatre at the Texas Theatre this past weekend.

According to show organizer Doug Smith, the show is fun for the whole family. “We probably had more adults than children…it is written on so many levels,” said Smith. “I promise you that the grown-ups are going to have as much, or more, fun as the kids do with this show. It’s just that kind of musical.”

For those who missed it, there is still time to purchase tickets for shows this weekend. Shows will be held July 31, August 1, 2, and 3. Friday and Saturday shows will be held at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday show will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12.00 for adults and $8.00 for students (ages 4-12). Tickets can be purchased at Palestine Chamber of Commerce; Dogwood Diner; Switch-Brick Oven Pizza & Wine Bar; Sears Hometown Store in Palestine; Education Unlimited; and Discount Pools in Elkhart.
