Sheriff Greg Taylor on recent drug-related arrests

PALESTINE, April 8, 2013—KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor regarding two recent drug-related arrests.

On April 6, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Hilario Escamilla Gonzalez, age, 40, of Palestine, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams; Possession of Dangerous Drugs; Possession of Marijuana; and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 28 grams. He is currently in jail on a $22,500 bond, and $1,115 in fines.

On April 7, at approximately 7:00 p.m., James Troy Yelverton was arrested on a revocation warrant for DWI. A subsequent search of his person revealed a small amount of Methamphetamine, found in his pocket. He is currently in jail on a $7,500 bond. The warrant has no bond at this time.
