ATHENS, April 19, 2017–Two women with a substantial amount of illegal drugs were arrested yesterday by Henderson County deputies under the direction of Sheriff Botie Hillhouse.
Angela Davis, 42, of Poyner, and Ashley Jordan, 26 of Chandler, are currently in the County jail awaiting arraignment.
Hillhouse, with the assistance of the Coffee City Police, received information leading to the investigation and arrests.
After Henderson County Court at Law Judge Scott Williams found probable cause and issued a search warrant, Hillhouse assigned a team to the case.
Chief Kevin Halbert, Major Bryan Tower and Narcotics Investigator Josh Rickman worked with the Sheriff, gathering the information to obtain the warrant.
Hillhouse’s team – including Investigators Brad Beddingfield, Jeremy Rose, Charlie Severn, Ray Yockey and Deputy Kyle Pochobradsky – found a group of people at the suspects’ residence.
They also found Davis in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine, a first degree felony, and the found Jordan with suspected methamphetamine.
Davis faces a term in the Texas Department of Corrections for up to 99 years, but not less than five years. Jordan is charged with a state jail felony and faces up to two years, but not less than six months in jail.
“Additionally, they are both looking at a $10,000 fine for having the drugs in this County,”
Hillhouse said. “These folks need to understand that we are watching, we are listening and when we suspect they are selling contraband, we hunt them down and take them to jail.”
During the arrest of the two suspects, a 23-year-old man was also found at the residence.
Jordan Wright was wanted for an outstanding parole violation, so he was arrested, too.
