SMITH CO., June 19, 2014—A recent outbreak of pharmacy burglaries may be connected, according to Smith County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer John Moore.
Over the past few weeks, pharmacies in Anderson, Smith, and Henderson counties have been broken into with the goal of obtaining prescription medication.
According to Moore, a link is likely, because people tend to stick to what they know.
“Most of these people stick to what they think they’re good at, and that’s what they continue to do,” said Moore. “In this case, it’s probable that they are connected, but nothing has proven that yet.”
Anyone with information on these crimes is encouraged to call Smith County Sheriff’s Office at 903-566-6600. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 903-593-CUFF (2833), or at Smith-county.com/so, and click on Tip 411.
