SMITH CO., August 15, 2014— On Thursday, August 14, 2014, a Smith County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy along with a Smith County K-9 officer executed an arrest warrant in the 18000 block of Briarcrest in Flint, Texas.
Broderick Willis, 18, of Flint is charged with Burglary of a Habitation. The warrant was issued by Judge Kerry Russell of the 17th State District Court who set bond at $100,000. Willis is currently being held in the Smith County Jail. Since his arrest, he has also been charged with three probation violations, including Theft of a Firearm, Theft of Property, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On April 24 of this year, Willis allegedly committed a burglary of a residence on Holcomb Circle in the southwestern part of Smith County. Among the items taken were several credit cards, a leather wallet and a purse.
