Routine traffic stop yields drugs, two arrests

ANDERSON CO., December 27, 2013— On December 21, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies made a routine traffic stop on 287 South, near FM 1817, in Elkhart.

The driver of the car gave Deputies consent to search the vehicle, which led to the discovery of approximately 6.7 grams of Methamphetamine and several hydrocodone pills.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested:

Shane Sullivan, age 43, of Palestine

Crime Suspect - Shane Sullivan

Ronald Honea, age 41, of Palestine

Crime Suspect - Ronald Honea

Both subjects were charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, penalty group 1 – 4-200 grams; and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, penalty group 3 – 4-28 grams, a State Jail Felony.

Both men remain in Anderson County Jail. Sullivan remains jailed on $250,000 worth of bonds, and Honea remains jailed on $150,000 worth of bonds.
