JASPER, September 4, 2013-- The Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) will hold its monthly board of directors meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Woodville, Texas.
Lunch will be served at noon, with Texas State Representative James White as special guest speaker. White will be speaking on the constitutional amendment concerning funding of the state’s water plan. The proposed amendment will be on the November General Election ballot.
Welcoming members and guest to Tyler County will be Tyler County Judge, Jacques Blanchette; Woodville Mayor, Ben Bythewood; Tyler County Commissioners, Martin Nash, James Hughes, Mike Marshall and Jack Walston; Jimmie Cooley of the Lower Neches River Authority and Tyler County Minority Representative, Wilbert Barnett.
