ALTO, March 22, 2013—Mission Tejas State Park will host an Easter celebration beginning with t Ranger Guided Park Tour on Saturday, March 30.
The tour will include the Rice Family Log Home, El Camino Real, and the Mission Replica. The history of Texas State Parks and Mission Tejas State Park will be discussed. Those interested are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m., at the Rice Home.
Participants are encouraged to make a day of it and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy viewing the beautiful dogwoods while they eat.
At 2:00 p.m., Mission Tejas will hold an Easter Egg Hunt. Plenty of sweet treats will be hidden among the pines and special prizes will be awarded. Children will be separated into age-appropriate groups.
There is no fee for any Mission Tejas programs, but there is a $2.00 park entry fee for all 13 years of age and over.
Mission Tejas is located on Hwy 21, between Alto and Crockett.
