PALESTINE, March 13, 2013—LifePoint Hospitals has awarded Palestine Regional Medical Center with the company’s 2012 High Five Award for demonstrating excellence in health care delivery. Palestine Regional is part of LifePoint Hospitals, a leading hospital company dedicated to providing quality healthcare in non-urban communities.
The High Five Award is the highest honor awarded annually to one hospital to recognize extraordinary achievement in demonstrating the Company’s High Five guiding principles: Delivering compassionate, high quality patient care; Supporting physicians; Creating excellent workplaces for employees; Strengthening the hospital’s role in the community; Ensuring fiscal responsibility.
The award was accepted by the hospital’s leadership team, Alan George-CEO, Louis Ferguson-CFO, and Christi Watkins-CCO, on behalf of the entire hospiral staff at the annual LifePoint operations meeting on March 1.
The hospital received a monetary award from LifePoint Hospitals in the amount of $250,000 to invest in hospital improvements and technology as the hospital continues to grow and enhance its medical services.
