PALESTINE, July 17, 2014-- Palestine Resource Center for Independent Living (PRCIL) will be hosting a Community Resource Fair on Thursday, July 24, 2014. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Philips Episcopal Church, which is located at 106 Crawford Street, in Palestine, Texas.
The main purpose of the fair is to connect, strengthen, and support individuals living in Anderson and surrounding counties by providing necessary information about many services available in the community. Fair participants will be able to talk to representatives from local agencies about a variety of topics. Whether it is a health issue, a financial issue, or just wanting to know what is available, local entities will be on hand to help and give advice.
An ADA celebration will follow the Community Resource Fair. Greg Gunnels, O.T.R. with Palestine Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Unit will be speaking from 11:00 a.m. to noon; his topic is “What Would You Do?” Light refreshments will be served.
Entities interested in participating in the Community Resource Fair as a vendor are encouraged to call PRCIL at 903-729-7505 for more information.
