PRCIL offers Diabetes and Neuropathy information at Diabetes Support Group

PALESTINE, August 2, 2014— Neuropathy, a common complication of diabetes, is damage to the nerves that allow you to feel things such as pain.  There are several ways that diabetes damages the nerves, but they all seem related to blood sugar being too high for a long period of time.

Suzanna Gordon, LVN with Grace Visiting Nurses will be speaking on “Diabetes and Neuropathy” at the monthly Diabetic Support Group.  The presentation will be held at Palestine Resource Center for Independent Living (PRCIL) on Thursday, August 21, 2014, and will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Glenn Conner with Grace Medical will be performing hand wax therapy for support group participants at 1:30 p.m.

PRCIL is located at 421 Avenue A, Palestine, Texas.  For more information, contact PRCIL at 903-729-7505.
