Police search for suspect in Cash Store robbery

TYLER, September 26, 2013--On Wednesday, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Tyler Police Officers responded to a Commercial Robbery at the Cash Store located at 208 Rice Road, in Tyler. 

Three clerks at the scene advised that a dark-skinned, black male, approximately 30 years of age, about 5 foot 4 inches tall, with thin build, entered the store and displayed a black and silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The suspect was further described as wearing a black ball cap, a blue cloth over his face, a gray sweatshirt hanging around his neck, a black t-shirt and baggy blue jeans. The clerks also said the suspect had noticeable tattoos on both forearms. 

The clerks gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect then fled on foot. He was last seen going south. 

There were no injuries. 

At this time there is no further information pertaining to the case.  This incident is still under investigation.
