Pesticide Credit Hour Program offered Oct. 11

PALESTINE, October 5, 2013— Pesticide Applicator license holders will earn (5) five continuing education units toward renewal of their licenses during training on Friday, October 11, in Palestine. Training will be held at Ben E Keith, 2019 W. Oak. 

According to Anderson County Extension Agent, hours are as follows: 1 hour Laws and Regs, 2 hours IPM and 2 hours General, for a total of 5 hours. Training will start with registration at 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., and program will end at 3:10 p.m. 

Program topics are External Parasite Control – Beef Cattle, Management of Recovering Forage in East Texas, External Parasite Control – Goats, and Herbicide use in Timber Management.

Registration is $30.00 per person and includes a lunch meal. To receive continuing education units participants will need to present a copy of their applicators license at registration.
