PALESTINE, March 24, 2013—Private Pesticide Applicator training and testing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, at Ben E Keith, located at 2019 West Oak Street, in Palestine.
Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.; training session will begin at 8:30 a.m., with testing following the training.
A private applicator license is needed to purchase and spray restricted and State-limited use of pesticides in Texas.
As a part of the $50.00 cost of this training, lunch will be provided and you will receive study materials and manuals. Participants are encouraged to pick up the study materials in advance of the training. Participants must pre-register by noon, on Monday, April 29.
Test will be administered by a Texas Department of Agriculture representative at the conclusion of the training. A calculator may be used during the exam for math calculations.
TDA requires license candidates to provide proof of identification before examinations will be administered. Acceptable forms of ID are valid Driver’s License, official military identification, or State ID cards.
