PALESTINE, July 10, 2014—Many veterans do not know the extent of services which may be available to them. To help local veterans find answers to their questions and get into the system, the Veterans Service Center is offering assistance on Tuesdays, beginning July 15, at the Palestine Mall location, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
“A lot of times our veterans don’t realize that old injury that they received when they were young, has complicated their lives and may even be compensatable,” said Veteran Service Center’s Evelyn Cupit.
Cupit says veterans getting their information in the system can help them should they need help in the future. In addition, more veteran need leads to an increase of services available.
