Palestine police seek information in Subway robbery

PALESTINE, October 25, 2013— On October 23, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Palestine Police responded to an armed robbery at the Subway located in the 2600 block of West Oak St. The initial report indicated that an armed gunman came up behind an employee as they were about to open the store for the morning.

The employee was led inside the store and made to open the safe. The gunman took a small amount of cash from the safe. The gunman then exited the store and went in an unknown direction.

The gunman had his face covered with some type of ski mask at the time of the robbery. The gunman was described as wearing a hooded jacket, long pants, sunglasses, and gloves. The gunman was also armed with an unknown type of handgun.
