PALESTINE, August 27, 2013--The Palestine Police Department has been struggling from a shortage of officers. Although there are some new officers scheduled to begin soon, still more officers are needed.
According to Palestine Police Chief Robert Herbert, the next Civil Service test is scheduled for September 28, and anyone interested is encouraged to apply. The deadline for applying is Thursday, September 13. Civil Service exam materials are available at the library.
