Longview Public Library announces Summer Reading Club events

LONGVIEW, July 3, 2013—The Longview Public Library has a host of fun activities in store for the Summer Reading Club (SRC). Activities kick off this morning with a magic show. Kids will not want to miss the Bobo the Bee Man, or the opportunity to meet an author, a weatherman, or a park ranger. Below is a complete list of planned activities.

JULY

3: Magician Brett Roberts, 10:15 & 11:15 AM

5: Bobo the Bee Man, 10:30 AM

8: Cool School w/ Ms. Maria (music & puppets), 10:15 AM

12: LeTourneau Drama Camp, 10:30 AM

17: Author Nick Bruel (Bad Kitty series)

  • Main Branch: 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM & 4:15 PM
  • Broughton Branch: 2:30 PM

19: CBS 19 Weatherman John Adams, 10:30 AM

24: Dru Woods (puppets & music)

  • Main Branch: 10:15 AM
  • Broughton Branch: 1:00 PM

26: Park Ranger (camping, Tyler State Park, etc), 10:30 AM

31: Zooniversity* (animals), 10:15 & 11:15 AM *Ages 5 & up!

Attendance is limited to the capacity of the Moeschle Room, so get here early! SRC programs are geared toward children ages 5-12. Thank you!
