Longview Freedom Festival to be held at Maude Cobb

LONGVIEW, July 3, 2014—The Longview Freedom Festival will be held at Maude Cobb on Friday, July 4.

Families can decorate their own newspaper hats, play in fun foam, experience the carnival rides, eat yummy food, and check out a variety of other entertainment. There will also be vendors in the Exhibit Building, an outdoor stage featuring musical acts, a hot dog eating contest, multi-cultural festivities, pet adoptions, and more.

Families will want to stay and enjoy the spectacular fireworks display that will start as soon as it is dark.

Festivities will kick off at 10:00 a.m., and run all day. It is free to get in the gates, but prices will vary for individual activities.

An indoor concert featuring Neal McCoy and Holly Tucker will take place at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. Concert tickets are $15.00 for adult general admission and $7.50 for children 13 and under (+ #3.00 surcharge per ticket), and may be purchased at Cavender’s in Longview.
