PALESTINE, August 10, 2014— Palestine Resource Center for Independent Living (PRCIL) will be hosting a quarterly, ladies, “Listen and Learn” brunch on Thursday, August 14, at 10:00 a.m. The “Listen and Learn” series will consist of a light breakfast with a health and wellness presentation targeting women’s issues. Theresa Richey, RN, BSN with Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS), will be speaking on “Depression and Women”.
According to the National Mental Health Association, approximately one in every eight women will develop depression at some point during their lifetime. Depression is a serious condition that can impact every area of one’s life--relationships, career, sense of self-worth and purpose. Depression is treatable, and the more you understand about the implications and impact it can have on women, the more equipped you will be to tackle the condition head on.
PRCIL is located at 421 Avenue A, Palestine, Texas. Registration is required to attend; please RSVP for this workshop by calling PRCIL at 903-729-7505.
