CANTON, January 12, 2014-- Kathy Peel, best known as America's Family Home Manager, will deliver a series of uplifting messages to help women identify and connect with God's plans for their lives at this year's Legacy of Love retreat for single moms.
On February 21-22, First Baptist Church-Canton will host the seventh annual Legacy of Love event. The weekend retreat is for single mothers and "married singles" -- those women whose husbands are in the military or who travel extensively, leaving them at home in charge of the family.
With numerous educational and informational sessions, attendees can learn how to polish up their business skills, take a cooking class, learn a new craft, discover how to live abundantly on a dollar, get legal advice, get tips on strengthening their relationships, and more.
Dinner on Friday evening and lunch and dinner on Saturday will be provided. Complimentary childcare for newborns through fifth grade is available during the retreat, with lots of fun and entertaining activities planned.
Registration for the retreat is required, along with a $30 registration fee. Financial assistance is available. To register, visit www.singlemomslegacyoflove.org and download the registration form, or contact Marsha Howard at 903-567-4157, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration deadline is Friday, February 14.
The Legacy of Love retreat will begin at 5:30 p.m., Friday, February 21, and continue from 8:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, February 22. It will be held at First Baptist Church-Canton, 303 S. Athens, in Canton.
