KNET to host Palestine political forum

PALESTINE, April 2, 2013–KNET radio will host the 2013 Palestine Political Forum Thursday, April 11. The forum will take place at the Ben E. Keith Community room in Palestine from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Refreshments will be served promptly at 5:30 p.m. followed by questions and comments from those running for office in Palestine.

Individuals running for all contested races in Palestine have been invited or will be in attendance, including:
Therrell Thomas - Palestine Mayor
Timothy Triplett - Palestine Mayor
Sam Aryanapur - Palestine City Council
Steve Presley - Palestine City Council
Dana Staples - PISD School Board, Place 3
JoJo Dickerson - PISD School Board, Place 3
Rickey Ferguson - PISD School Board, Place 4
Kenneth R. Jordan - PISD School Board, Place 4
Janie Sepulveda - PISD School Board, Place 5
Mitchell W. Jordan - PISD School Board, Place 5

Audience members are asked to submit questions for candidates at 5:30 p.m.

The forum will be broadcast live, starting at 6 p.m., on KNET 95.7 FM and 1450 AM, as well as on the KNET stream via www.YourEastTexas.com for those that cannot be in attendance.
